Our Care Home Service
After working for many years in the care industry and speaking with countless residents, we know there is a significant level of interest in genealogical research amongst our senior citizens. Unfortunately, most are unable to research for themselves, for many different reasons. The technology bars most and that is a shame, as the older generation are arguably the ones who benefit the most. Not only do they benefit from gaining and sharing knowledge, but they benefit from the cognitive activity required to consider and relay the necessary information. In our experience older folk like nothing more than to relay to an interested party their memories and recollections.
We recognise the importance and benefit that engaging the elderly with this most rewarding of activities would bring. That is why we offer 20% discount to Care Home Residents on our Ancestral Birthday card, Christmas card and Armistice Day Memorial Card services.
When working with care home residents we encourage the home Activities Manager to work with us to promote transparency and assist in the collection of information and photographs. We rely upon the Activities Manager to select who would be suitable for our services as, of course, they know what is best for their residents.
